Motivational Interviewing: changing the way we talk with patients

Motivational Interviewing is an evidence-based communication style that is focused on identifying ambivalence and guiding a patient toward positive change.  It is an effective communication strategy that healthcare providers can utilize in their efforts to promote positive health outcomes for their patients.  There is currently a gap in MI training focused in on pharmacy and nursing providers.

The goal of this skills-based work-shop is to enhance the knowledge and skill of healthcare providers within the practice of motivational interviewing.
