What's Missing from my Pharmacy? Let's Bark About That!

"Have you ever considered how you can assist veterinarians and pet owners at your pharmacy with their medication needs? The demand for animal medications continues to grow and pharmacists are a valuable resource for veterinarians if they have knowledge about animals and pets.   This presentation will describe the role of community pharmacists in veterinary medicine, identify key regulatory guidance and drug information resources for animals, and explain  the services pharmacists can provide within their scope of practice. The goal of this continuing education event is to provide participants with the knowledge to assist veterinarians to provide better animal patient care, leading to improved outcomes, and to advocate for pharmacy veterinaryservices.
