Addiction Medicine Program Development Part 1


This series of presentations will include topics on Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) such as general understanding of opioid use disorder (OUD), substance use disorders (SUD), FDA approved treatments for OUD, benets of using MAT and recovery services for OUD, neurobiology of addiction and roles of genetics and environment in addiction, initial and periodic patient assessment, dening and choosing the appropriate pharmacological strategy for OUD treatment, safety concerns of drug interactions, informed consent procedures for MAT/OUD, addressing overdose, co-occurring disorders pain management, treating OUD in pregnant women, and the use of telemedicine for MAT.

All CPE evaluations must be completed within 60 days of completing the activity. It is the participant's responsibility to check that their credit records are correct within the 60 day period after completion of the activity.   Log in to CPE Monitor at www.mycpemonitor.net to view a list of all ACPE-accredited activities you have taken.
