Faculty understand that students may need to be taught strategies to improve studying and learning. Faculty can learn effective study strategies (Teaching blooms taxonomy, metacognition strategies, study cycle) which they can then implement in their classes or struggling students. Faculty discuss current strategies that they have used, planned to use, or examples from the book to help teach students how to learn.
Attendees will be reading the teaching strategies and examples provided in the book Teach Students How to Learn by Saundra Yancy McGuire. This book will lead to discussions about these teaching strategies and participants will discuss how to implement strategies into current teaching practices.

It is the participant's responsibility to check that their credit records are correct within the 60 day period after completion of the activity. Any discrepancies must be resolved with the CPE Provider directly and in a timely manner.
